Food and cooking are the centerpiece of life. It’s often the garnish at our human gatherings and it’s as universal as the stars at night.
Cooking always has been my passion, beginning with memories of helping in the kitchen at 3-years-old, to begging my father for my first cookbook on my 5th birthday (which, btw, I still have). In high school I took cooking classes and later community education cooking classes during my years at college. Then with a B.A. in Journalism, what did I do? I became a food columnist for a time at a local tabloid.
But I wasn’t done yet. Years later, I decide to change careers and get my degree in culinary arts. I couldn’t really predict where I would land. I only knew that I had to take a leap of faith and pursue my lifelong passion. And after several years in professional kitchens, my road has brought me here.
My life’s purpose is food and cooking, and I want to share, teach, mentor, and inspire you – and you me! The good news is there’s always more to learn; new techniques, ingredients, flavor combinations and new equipment.
So let’s go on this journey together and thanks for letting me be part of your gatherings.
